Who Is an ELDER in the Kingdom of God?
The concept of an ELDER carries great significance, not only in cultural terms but even more profoundly in spiritual understanding.
A Yoruba adage says, “ÃŒrÃrà ná pè nà à gbà ,” meaning, “The experiential knowledge sustained by a person is what qualifies him or her to be called an elder.”
But in the realm of God’s kingdom, being an elder transcends cultural definitions.
A glimpse into the 24 Elders around the throne of the Monarch of Zion reveals the core of what makes one an elder in God's language. It’s not just age or experience in the natural but the illumination and divine knowledge they have acquired in God.
These elders, who bow before the throne, carry the weight of eternal wisdom, insight, and the kind of light that comes from accessing the deep mysteries of God. They are not elders because of time spent on earth but because of timeless knowledge and understanding gained in God’s eternal presence.
So The Question To Reflect On Today Is:
How much illumination have you acquired in God?
Are you growing in His light, or are you content with the shadows of worldly wisdom?
The mark of true eldership in God’s kingdom is your access to His pure light and your commitment to walking in it.
Dear readers, aspire not just to age but to grow in the wisdom, truth, and eternal illumination of the Most High.
May you be found worthy in your pursuit of God’s light.
